Expert Detailing Representative (Pharma Sales)

About the role

The Expert Detailing Representative (EDR) will drive awareness and advocacy for leading consumer healthcare brands among healthcare providers (HCPs) across Ghana. This field‑based position blends scientific expertise with sales acumen to influence prescribing behavior and support patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct expert detailing sessions with HCPs, presenting clinical data and therapeutic benefits.
• Recruit HCPs to digital platforms and facilitate remote engagement tools.
• Utilize multiple channels (face‑to‑face, webinars, email) to maintain high‑quality interactions.
• Guide HCPs in accessing patient communication tools and digital resources.
• Distribute medical samples to support product trials and conversion.
• Track and achieve KPIs such as AWR, BRMO, SoR and meet territory sales targets.
• Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to internal teams.
• Organize and support educational events and CME modules.
• Uphold compliance standards and represent the field team professionally.

Required profile

• BSc or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related healthcare role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Required skills

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency with digital tools and CRM systems, specifically Veeva.
• Analytical mindset for interpreting sales data and KPIs.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
