Field Service / Onsite Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service / Onsite Service Technician to join our Service Operations Department in Ghana. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality diagnosis, repair, overhaul, and rebuilds of complex engine products directly at customer sites, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reliable diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on engine systems using specialized tools and documented procedures.
• Act as the primary technical specialist and trusted contact for customers, providing expert support on complex field issues.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by responding promptly to service needs and delivering efficient solutions.
• Complete all service documentation accurately, including worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality records.
• Identify, escalate, and collaborate on unresolved technical issues with product specialists or supervisors.
• Coach and guide technicians and apprentices, sharing knowledge and reviewing repair plans.
• Identify additional service and sales opportunities while adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Power Generation Technician with an Electrical Certificate and extensive relevant experience.
• Strong diagnostic capability and ability to translate customer complaints into structured troubleshooting plans.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical systems, delivering first‑time‑right repairs.
• Willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Strong safety consciousness with consistent adherence to HSE standards.
