Finance and Operations Officer

About the role

The Finance and Operations Officer will establish and manage the financial processes for an agriculture development program in Accra, Ghana. Reporting to senior management, the role will coordinate with partner banks, auditors, and technology providers to ensure accurate reporting, strong fund controls, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate the program’s finance and reporting framework, covering loan books, program funds, expenditures, risk and compliance.
• Develop standardized reporting templates and embed key processes into the program’s technology platform.
• Manage the partner‑bank reporting cycle, including analysis, issue resolution, audits and consolidation of lending activity.
• Prepare financial reports for international stakeholders and maintain effective controls over program funds and operating expenses.

Required profile

• At least five years of professional experience in financial management, reporting and analysis.
• Proven experience establishing or improving finance and reporting processes in multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Self‑starter with strong analytical judgment, attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with financial‑reporting software and template design.
• Ability to support technology‑platform integration for financial processes.
