Finance & Cost Accountant

About the role

Join a dynamic finance team at Saint‑Gobain Africa, where you will ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial information while supporting compliance with accounting standards, group policies and Ghanaian regulations. The role covers the full finance function, from general‑ledger management to tax compliance, treasury and monthly reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close processes, prepare general‑ledger reconciliations and produce financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliation, ageing analysis and cash‑flow optimisation.
• Prepare and submit statutory tax returns (VAT, PAYE, WHT, corporate tax) and reconcile tax‑related ledger accounts.
• Oversee treasury activities, monitor foreign‑currency transactions, and reconcile bank statements.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, calculate depreciation in line with IFRS and conduct periodic physical verification.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting; professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously or within cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with full business processes including sales, inventory planning and procurement.
