Fleet and Transport Supervisor – Heavy Duty Trucks

About the role

We are seeking a talented Fleet and Transport Supervisor Officer for heavy‑duty trucks. The role involves recruiting, onboarding, training, managing performance and well‑being of professional truck drivers while ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with company policies and national transport regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day driver activities and ensure performance standards are met.
• Manage driver scheduling, shift assignments and rotation to guarantee coverage.
• Maintain comprehensive driver records (certifications, licences, training history, disciplinary actions) and ensure they remain valid.
• Track driver performance and compliance with operational procedures and transport regulations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions and driver assessments.
• Collaborate with Transport Officers and Fleet Maintenance to assign drivers to appropriate trucks and provide necessary support.
• Lead recruitment, interview, reference checking and onboarding of new drivers.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Class F driver’s licence (preferred) and experience with heavy‑duty trucks.
• Proven experience in driver supervision, training and heavy‑duty truck operations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and able to travel within Ghana.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with transport‑management and tracking software.
