Forensic Accountant – Fraud Prevention & Investigation

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Forensic Accountant to lead fraud prevention, detection, and investigation across our manufacturing operations. You will examine financial records, identify irregularities, and support management in resolving financial misconduct.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial transactions, procurement, payroll, and inventory data to spot anomalies and red flags.
• Design and implement fraud‑prevention policies and controls specific to manufacturing.
• Conduct data‑analytics reviews to detect duplicate payments, ghost employees, inflated invoices, and collusion.
• Lead confidential investigations into fraud, corruption, asset misappropriation, and financial‑statement fraud.
• Gather, preserve, and document electronic and physical evidence in line with legal standards.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports with findings and recommended corrective actions.
• Assess fraud vulnerability across departments and test internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with Ghanaian anti‑corruption laws, tax regulations, and international best practices.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and auditors as needed.
• Develop and deliver fraud‑awareness training for employees and management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Forensic Accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CITLFA‑Ghana, CPFA‑ICFA Ghana, CFE or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in forensic accounting, forensic audit, or fraud investigation.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian financial regulations, tax laws, and anti‑corruption frameworks.
