About the role
The Head of Corporate Affairs & Regulatory leads the development and execution of the market’s external affairs, public policy, regulatory and reputation strategy. Reporting to the Country Leadership Team, the role safeguards the company’s licence to operate and positions it as a trusted partner to government, industry and communities.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement the market regulatory and public policy strategy, advocating for a stable and competitive environment.
- Monitor emerging legislation, fiscal measures and sustainability regulations; develop positions on alcohol regulation, excise taxes, licensing, labeling and trade policy.
- Lead engagement and negotiations with regulators, policymakers and industry associations.
- Coordinate cross‑functional responses to proposed regulations and ensure alignment with global public policy objectives.
- Manage programmes addressing illicit alcohol, counterfeiting and tax‑stamp initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with ministries, parliamentary bodies, municipalities, diplomatic missions and industry forums.
- Develop and execute the market reputation strategy, monitor reputation risks and lead crisis preparedness.
- Oversee internal and external communications, corporate narrative, media relations and executive messaging.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in corporate affairs, regulatory affairs or public policy, preferably in a senior leadership role.
- Proven ability to influence government officials, regulators and industry stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking with a track record of delivering favourable regulatory and fiscal outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate socio‑political and reputational risks.
