About the role
The Heavy Locomotive Maintenance Officer will supervise maintenance teams and coordinate locomotive fleet activities for Ghana Railway Company Limited.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise scheduled inspections, servicing and preventive maintenance on diesel-electric locomotives.
- Plan and monitor diagnosis and repair of mechanical system faults.
- Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance procedures and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to report on maintenance status.
Required profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years industrial experience in locomotive or heavy‑equipment maintenance.
- Strong leadership, planning and supervisory abilities.
- Good knowledge of railway maintenance procedures and workplace safety standards.
