About the role
The Hostess will welcome guests, serve food and beverages, and ensure a courteous, professional experience in line with Kempinski’s standards. This position supports the restaurant team by handling guest enquiries, managing reservations, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Report to the Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager and arrive punctually in full uniform.
- Provide courteous, efficient service and uphold hotel grooming standards.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items, upsell where appropriate, and explain menu options to guests.
- Operate the POS system accurately and handle guest enquiries and complaints promptly.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, monitor supplies, reduce waste, and assist with inventory counts.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and fire regulations.
- Maintain reservation books, guest history, and coordinate menu printing.
- Collaborate with Guest Services, Concierge, Reservations, and other F&B outlets.
Required profile
- HND in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification.
- Strong personal appearance, hygiene, and adherence to dress code.
- Ability to work flexible hours and handle a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, motivated attitude.
Required skills
- Proficiency in operating a POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system.
