Market Research Project Officer – Kumasi

About the role

BURN is looking for a Market Research Project Officer to lead the execution of research projects in Kumasi, Ghana. The role supports product managers and the commercial team by gathering high‑quality data, organising field activities and turning findings into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured data collection in the field and via remote channels, following research protocols.
• Identify, contact and schedule customers for interviews, tests or visits.
• Build and manage execution plans, including multi‑day schedules, routing and transport logistics.
• Provide operational support such as receipts, tracking, logistics and material readiness.
• Apply rigorous research methods: representative sampling, consistent question sequencing and bias detection.
• Maintain clean, traceable datasets and cross‑check findings against CRM or telemetry data.
• Perform basic data quality checks and support analysis in Excel or internal tools.
• Produce clear research notes and reports that distinguish data, inference and uncertainty, and include actionable recommendations.
• Archive research findings for future reference and pull relevant CRM information to contextualise reports.

Required profile

• Confidence in following structured research processes under field pressure.
• Methodical mindset with understanding of sample size, representativeness and inference limits.
• Strong written communication to translate observations into concise reports.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple concurrent activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel for data cleaning and basic analysis.
• Experience using CRM systems to retrieve and contextualise customer information.
