Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will be based on‑site in Tema, working full‑time on client projects that involve the design, development and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. You will contribute to delivering safe, reliable and efficient solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review mechanical designs and technical drawings.
• Prepare 3D models and perform engineering calculations for safety and performance.
• Support project planning, scheduling and execution.
• Participate in research and development activities to improve machinery and processes.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure compliance with standards.
• Produce technical documentation, reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, vendors and other stakeholders to meet project timelines.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics and materials.
• Experience in machine design and R&D.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for drafting and modeling.
• Project management abilities to plan, schedule and monitor engineering work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; professional certification is a plus.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing or construction environments is preferred.
