MFS Treasury Analyst – Cash Settlement

About the role

The MFS Treasury Analyst will ensure that all cash movements on the Telecel Cash platform are accurate, timely and fully reconciled. You will own settlement processes with payment schemes, banks and fintech partners while managing receivables from agents and billers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle Visa and other product settlements, scheme fees, chargebacks and acquirer reconciliations.
• Manage GhIPSS settlements, reconcile settlement files and resolve breaks.
• Own settlement and reconciliation for banks, fintechs, billers and other aggregators.
• Monitor and chase receivables from partners, track aging reports and escalate overdue accounts.
• Ensure collections are swept into designated accounts and recorded in the accounting system.
• Perform daily reconciliation of settlement accounts and partner sub‑ledgers, guaranteeing accurate GL posting.
• Prepare daily/weekly settlement and receivables reports, flagging risks or unusual trends.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology and Risk teams to resolve settlement failures and improve turnaround times.
• Support audits and manage bank relationships on trust accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, corporate finance or banking.
• Strong knowledge of cash accounting and settlement processes.
• Proficiency with banking platforms and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience with international treasury operations and foreign‑exchange management.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
