Operations Management Officer (Import & Export)

About the role

The Operations Management Officer in the Import & Export department oversees all financial documentation related to international and domestic logistics. The role ensures accurate invoice verification, smooth approval workflows, and timely payment of vendors, acting as the bridge between Operations and Finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and process import/export invoices (freight, local charges, clearance fees, transport, etc.) to prevent errors and duplicate payments.
• Track approval status, forward approved paperwork to Accounts and follow up to guarantee on‑time vendor payments.
• Maintain detailed records of deductions and ensure they are applied correctly to payments.
• Record completed documents and update payment statuses in both electronic and manual tracking systems.
• Prepare weekly payment status reports and monthly payment plans for the supervisor.
• Review and update monthly expense standards for all import/export fees.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with logistics providers, customs vendors, internal finance teams and supervisors.
