Plant Protection Guard (Security)

About the role

Kasapreko PLC, a Ghanaian producer of herbal-based alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, is looking for a Plant Protection (Security) Guard in Kasapreko. The guard ensures the safety and security of the facility, its employees, visitors and assets by monitoring the premises, controlling access, responding to emergencies and enforcing security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Control access to the facility by checking the identity of employees, visitors and contractors, signing visitors in and escorting them, and preventing entry to restricted areas.
• Patrol the perimeter, parking lots, warehouses and other key areas, check that doors, windows and gates are locked after hours, and safeguard raw materials, finished products and equipment.
• Ensure products leaving the facility are documented and authorised, and that employees and visitors follow safety protocols such as wearing PPE.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assist in evacuations and medical emergencies, and report incidents to the Security Supervisor.
• Maintain visitor logs, patrol logs and incident reports, and count products on pallets during inspections.
• Greet employees and visitors courteously and help them with directions and information.

Required profile

• Senior High School Certificate or equivalent.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work extra hours, stay calm under pressure and remain observant and detail-oriented.
