Project Engineer – 161kV Transmission Line & Substation Relocation

About the role

The Project Engineer will coordinate engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning activities for a 161kV transmission line and substation relocation project. This role supports successful implementation by ensuring technical quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in day‑to‑day project execution.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables, construction activities, and contractor performance.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design submissions.
• Monitor project schedules and track engineering milestones.
• Coordinate procurement activities and material delivery schedules.
• Conduct technical evaluations and resolve engineering issues.
• Interface between design teams, site teams, contractors, and client representatives.
• Support construction supervision and commissioning activities.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and energization activities.

Required profile

• BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• PMP certification.
• Minimum 6 years experience in transmission line and substation engineering projects.
• Experience with EPC projects and utility infrastructure development.
• Knowledge of transmission line and substation design principles.
