Project Manager – Bright Shea (Shea Value Chains)

About the role

The Project Manager will provide strategic leadership for the Building Resilient and Inclusive Growth in Shea Value Chains (BRIGHT Shea) project. Based in Tamale, Ghana, the role involves overseeing project planning, implementation, monitoring and delivery while travelling frequently across Northern Region communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical, budget, monitoring and reporting activities throughout the project cycle.
• Supervise and develop project staff, manage performance and promote well‑being.
• Ensure learning is integrated into activities and coordinate evaluation following MEAL policies.
• Identify and report issues to enable timely adjustments.
• Foster partnerships with government, private sector, civil society and community institutions.
• Implement the Market Systems Development (MSD) strategy to strengthen shea value chains, including aggregation, post‑harvest management, value addition, market access, financial inclusion and natural resource management.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 7 years (84 months) of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing development projects in agriculture or value‑chain contexts.
• Strong knowledge of market systems development and donor compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage partnerships.
