Project Manager – Forest Flavors

About the role

The Project Manager – Forest Flavors will oversee the implementation of CRS Ghana’s Forest Flavors initiative, which aims to strengthen cocoa and shea value chains, create sustainable jobs for youth, and promote climate‑smart agriculture across the Northern, Western and Bono East regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical, budget, monitoring and reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle, from start‑up to close‑out, in line with CRS quality standards and donor requirements.
• Supervise and coach project staff, manage team dynamics, and oversee performance management and recruitment processes.
• Provide technical leadership on Market Systems Development, youth employment, climate‑smart agriculture, agroforestry and landscape restoration.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with COCOBOD, the Ghana Forestry Commission, private sector buyers, local governments, financial institutions and research organisations.
• Ensure adequate financial, material and human resources for high‑quality implementation, conduct periodic budget reviews and coordinate timely financial reporting with partners.
• Identify capacity‑building needs of staff and partner organisations and facilitate appropriate technical assistance.
• Prepare trend analysis reports, disseminate findings and ensure project documentation complies with agency and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders at national and local levels and building community partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of market systems development, youth employment strategies, climate‑smart agriculture, agroforestry and landscape restoration.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, monitor project performance and produce high‑quality reports.
• Experience supervising staff, providing coaching and managing team well‑being.
