Protective Coating Specialist

About the role

Join a multinational chemical manufacturing firm as a Protective Coating Specialist, where you will guide customers on surface protection solutions and support projects across industrial and infrastructure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on coatings, surface protection systems and corrosion protection solutions.
• Assess customer requirements and recommend solutions based on environmental conditions, substrate type and project specifications.
• Conduct coating inspections, site assessments and technical evaluations.
• Advise customers on surface preparation standards and best‑practice application methods.
• Support the commercial team with technical product knowledge and solution‑based selling.
• Assist in troubleshooting coating performance issues and handling customer complaints.
• Maintain accurate records of technical consultations and site visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar technical role.
• Professional NACE or equivalent coating inspection certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation, protective coating systems and environmental factors affecting coatings.
• Ability to combine technical expertise with sales awareness.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
