Purchasing Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Purchasing Supervisor to lead our procurement team. In this role you will ensure cost‑effective purchasing, maintain strong supplier relationships, and support the growing operational needs of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily purchasing activities to guarantee timely and cost‑efficient procurement.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess stock.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with potential suppliers; manage long‑term contracts.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and enforce quality, pricing, and delivery standards.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the purchasing team, providing training on best practices.
• Analyze purchasing data to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and ensure budget compliance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and agreements.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and logistics to align procurement with organizational needs.
• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
