Remote Chemical Engineer – Short‑Term Contract (11 weeks)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Chemical Engineer to work on a short‑term (11‑week) contract, providing expert solutions to advanced chemistry problems. The role involves 40 hours per week with a required 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Solve postgraduate‑level chemistry problems and produce detailed explanations.
• Create and annotate visual content such as chemical equations, reaction mechanisms, equilibrium diagrams, and energy plots.
• Analyze complex organic reaction mechanisms using textual and annotated chemical structures.
• Address challenging tasks in stoichiometry, thermodynamics, organic chemistry, and electrochemistry with diagrammatic explanations.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations on chemistry‑related tasks.
• Contribute to AI model fine‑tuning projects through analytical problem‑solving and structured reasoning.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or a related field.
• Proficiency with at least three of the listed computational chemistry tools.
• Strong research, analytical, and structured communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, self‑motivated, and collaborate remotely.
• Reliable desktop or laptop with internet access and a LinkedIn profile included in the résumé.
• Willingness to undergo a background check after onboarding.
