Sales Agronomist

About the role

The Sales Agronomist will combine sales expertise with agricultural knowledge to drive revenue and support farmer development across the Accra and Tema region. This role reports to the Territory Manager and balances commercial targets with technical support for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Generate weekly, monthly and yearly sales forecasts and maintain an accurate sales book for the territory.
• Drive achievement of sales and collection targets while adhering to company credit policies.
• Plan cost‑effective territory coverage to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Execute marketing plans, negotiate radio advertising rates, and ensure brand visibility at points of sale.
• Coordinate consumer‑engagement programmes, recruit extension agents, and liaise with farmer groups.
• Identify new business opportunities, retain existing customers, and provide feedback to R&D on field challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in the agro‑chemical industry.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
