Security Officer – Full-Time

About the role

G4S is seeking a professionally trained Security Officer to protect client premises, assets, information and personnel in Tema. You will act as the frontline defence, managing entry points, conducting patrols and responding calmly to emergencies while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols of interior, perimeter, parking areas and vulnerable zones.
• Inspect doors, gates, locks and fire escapes to ensure they are functional and secure.
• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors and vehicles, verify IDs and issue visitor badges.
• Maintain accurate digital or physical visitor logs and greet clients with a professional demeanor.
• Enforce company policies, SOPs and site‑specific regulations.
• Act as first responder to fire alarms, medical incidents, safety hazards or security breaches.
• Document daily logs, security check sheets and detailed incident reports.

Required profile

• Senior High School Certificate.
• Valid Ghana Card for identification.
• Ability to stand, walk for prolonged periods, climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain.
• Successful completion of G4S physical fitness training.
• Clear comprehensive background and reference checks.
