Senior Analyst – Finance & Record Keeping (Accra/Tema)

About the role

The Senior Analyst will serve as the area expert for local unit finances and record‑keeping, supporting Local Unit Managers and leaders across Accra and Tema. Reporting to the Area Local Unit Manager, the role ensures compliance with Church policies while driving process improvements and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer local unit finances and membership records in a legal, professional manner.
• Train and advise local unit leaders, analysts, and clerks on finance and record‑keeping policies.
• Develop internal controls to safeguard sacred funds and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare accurate financial and statistical reports for the Area Presidency, DTA, and headquarters.
• Support the development of the Long‑Term Resource Plan and identify gaps to achieve area goals.
• Conduct internal control reviews, audits, and resolve audit findings.
• Provide technical support for Church applications and troubleshoot system issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of post‑degree experience, including presentations to senior executives and work in strategy consulting or an internal strategy group.
• Thorough knowledge of the Church Handbook and local unit record‑keeping policies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.

• Experience with automated accounting and reporting software.
