Senior Assistant Development Officer

About the role

The University seeks a dynamic, self‑motivated professional to join its Works and Physical Development Office as a Senior Assistant Development Officer. The role supports the Director of Works in managing the university’s infrastructure projects and ensuring compliance with the Technical Universities Act 2016.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Works and Physical Development in the overall administration of the Works and Physical Development Office.
• Implement functions and procedures stipulated by the Technical Universities Act 2016 (Act 922) and related statutes.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of construction, maintenance, and development activities.
• Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and publications for external assessment.

Required profile

• Research Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Civil Engineering plus a relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience as an Assistant Development Officer in a university or comparable institution.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, precision, and professionalism.
• Computer literacy and ability to support applications with scholarly papers and publications.
