Senior Assistant Development Officer

About the role

The University seeks a dynamic, self‑motivated professional to join its Works and Physical Development Office as a Senior Assistant Development Officer. This senior‑level position supports the Director of Works in overseeing the university’s infrastructure projects and ensuring compliance with the Technical Universities Act 2016.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Works and Physical Development in the overall administration of the Works and Physical Development Office.
• Implement policies and procedures stipulated by the Technical Universities Act 2016 (Act 922) and related statutes.
• Coordinate and monitor campus construction, renovation, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and technical submissions for internal and external review.
• Support the evaluation of research papers and publications for external assessors.

Required profile

• Research Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Civil Engineering with a relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience as an Assistant Development Officer or in a comparable senior role within a university or similar institution.
• Demonstrated sound judgement, initiative, precision, and professionalism.
• Computer literate and able to produce scholarly publications for assessment.
