Vice President, Growth

About the role

African Centre for Technical Training (ACTT) is looking for a Vice President, Growth to lead the creation and growth of sustainable pipelines for student recruitment and admissions, strategic partnerships and advancement, marketing and communications, and fundraising. The role reports to the Founder & President, is full-time and lasts two years with renewal possible.

Key responsibilities

• Recruitment and admissions: promote ACTT to stakeholders such as artisans, trade associations, students, teachers and parents, screen applicants and admit diverse candidates, and grow enrolment using data and analytics.
• Partnerships and advancement: build partnerships for apprenticeships, financial aid, international programmes, faculty recruitment and volunteering, and manage relationships with regulators, partners, alumni, investors, donors and suppliers.
• Marketing and communications: run marketing plans and manage the marketing budget, communicate the institution's impact, and measure effectiveness through structured experimentation.
• Research and development: drive data-driven research on the value proposition and study successful TVET models worldwide.
• Fundraising: work with the Founder & President and Fundraising Associate to build a fundraising pipeline and write proposals for foundations, family offices and grants.

Required profile

• Masters' degree in a relevant field, with strong business acumen and leadership.
• Vast experience in business development, marketing or student admissions.
• Deep, verifiable connection to ACTT's mission and readiness for a start-up, participatory environment.
• Nice to have: experience in academia or TVET.

Required skills

• Excellent oral and written communication and English fluency.
• Attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills, data-informed decision-making.
• Proficiency with technology and willingness to adopt new tools.
