Accountant

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Accountant position is based in Dzorwulu, Accra. You will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day financial accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and timely preparation of financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Record transactions, maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations, monitor accounts payable and receivable, and support cash‑flow management.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Prepare management reports, support internal and external audits, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide accurate financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CA, CPA) is a plus.
• Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within financial services.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable and month‑end closing.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements and audit processes.
