Adult Critical Care Specialist

About the role

The Adult Critical Care Specialist provides high‑quality patient care within the intensive care unit, adhering to Fakeeh Care policies, clinical standards, and granted privileges. The role involves direct patient management, documentation, education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in line with institutional policies, standards of care, and granted privileges.
• Document all clinical activities according to Fakeeh Care documentation procedures.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures, working closely with attending physicians.
• Perform or assist with medical and surgical procedures as permitted by privileges.
• Provide timely medical reports following Fakeeh Care format.
• Participate in departmental meetings, scientific activities, and junior staff training.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, safety protocols, confidentiality, and code‑of‑conduct compliance.

Required profile

• Clear communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to work in high‑stress environments.
• Relevant clinical experience approved by the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS/DHA) in recognized medical centers.
• Board, fellowship or master‑level training in the specialty.
• Valid medical license and BLS certification; advanced licenses if applicable.
