It supports the planning and delivery of field activities such as farmer engagement, educational workshops and technical demonstrations, and helps develop work plans, monitor project budgets and keep activities within quality standards and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating detailed project workplans, activity schedules and budget trackers.
• Help organise and manage field visits, workshops and training sessions, and act as a contact point for farmer groups and community members.
• Apply basic knowledge of crop production, livestock care, climate-smart techniques and value chain development to support field activities.
• Contribute to training materials, technical guides and extension resources for farmers and local agribusinesses.
• Support relationships with government bodies, non-profits, development agencies and farmer organisations.
• Take part in field assessments and help verify and analyse project indicators and milestones.
• Draft progress reports, briefs and presentations, and maintain project data and beneficiary records.
• Research agricultural trends, policies and market opportunities for concept notes, proposals and feasibility studies.
• Manage project files, coordinate travel and event logistics, and ensure compliance with organisational policies and donor requirements.
