About the role
This short‑term contract position focuses on investigating hard‑to‑find facts, designing research tasks, and testing AI model outputs to uncover search and reasoning failures.
Key responsibilities
- Design challenging benchmark tasks that probe AI model capabilities.
- Test model outputs, analyze search trajectories, source selection, and reasoning failures.
- Write clear benchmark prompts and primary‑source‑backed answer keys.
Required profile
- Strong experience in investigative research, fact‑checking, AI benchmark authoring, red‑team testing, or technical QA.
- Proven ability to conduct deep web research and OSINT across academic archives, local records, and specialized databases.
Required skills
- Familiarity with AI benchmarks such as GAIA, BrowseComp, SimpleQA, SWE‑bench, Terminal‑Bench, or Humanity’s Last Exam.
- Expertise in analyzing model search trajectories and diagnosing reasoning failures.
