About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University is inviting applications for an Associate Professor position within its Faculty of Engineering. The role focuses on Computer Engineering and related disciplines, supporting teaching, research, and industry‑linked innovation across its Accra and Tema campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and tutorials in Computer Engineering and related subjects.
• Lead and supervise research projects, securing external funding where possible.
• Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Engage with industry partners for technology transfer, consultancy, and curriculum development.
• Participate in departmental administration, curriculum review, and academic committees.

Required profile

• Evidence of outstanding performance in teaching, research, and industry‑related innovations.
• Current appointment as Associate Professor at an accredited tertiary institution, or a Senior Lecturer with at least four years in that rank.
• Minimum of ten publications in recognized peer‑reviewed journals for Senior Lecturer candidates.
• PhD in Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated capacity for continuous research, knowledge dissemination, and technology transfer.
