Associate - Tax & Legal

About the role

Deloitte Ghana is recruiting Associates for its Tax and Legal teams in Accra, working in Business Tax, International Tax, M&A, Transfer Pricing, GES Mobility Tax and BPS Accounting. The role covers tax accounting, compliance and reporting, and tax advisory and consulting for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in calculating monthly employee payroll taxes and social security according to applicable laws, identify risks and complete reporting documents.
• Help prepare and file individual tax returns by incorporating employee remuneration and its tax treatment.
• Understand employee mobility issues and apply them to existing client scenarios when preparing client tax returns.
• Work with other team members to manage client engagements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduated from a recognised university in Ghana or overseas with a minimum of second-class upper in a related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Service-driven approach to clients and strong interpersonal skills.
• Good research, analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent writing, oral and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
