BI and Market Insights Analyst

About the role

The WAC Business Unit is looking for a business-oriented BI and Market Insights Analyst in Accra. The role sits at the intersection of business intelligence, analytics, market insights and strategy, helping leadership teams turn complex data into actionable recommendations on performance dashboards, competitive intelligence and growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve executive dashboards and reporting, covering commercial, financial and operational performance, and drive self-service analytics
• Turn data into recommendations through trend, variance and driver analysis, and build recommendation-led business narratives
• Standardize KPI definitions, reporting methods and governance, improving accuracy and comparability across markets
• Automate manual reporting and data preparation, and promote modern analytical tools
• Monitor market share, competitor developments, pricing, channel evolution and category performance, then turn insights into growth opportunities
• Build business cases, run opportunity assessments and scenario analyses, and support strategy reviews and long-range planning

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, market intelligence, strategy, commercial excellence or similar analytical roles
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business, Marketing, Information Systems or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage
• Experience converting complex business questions into insights and working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
