Business Banker – SME Portfolio Management

About the role

First National Bank Ghana is seeking a Business Banker to manage and grow a portfolio of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Kumasi. You will design and implement customer relationship strategies, drive cross‑selling, and ensure profitable growth while maintaining high compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute CRM strategies for SME clients.
• Strategically manage and expand a high‑profit SME portfolio.
• Identify business opportunities, create new concepts and drive revenue growth.
• Service product distribution, cross‑sell solutions and optimise return on equity.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, client expectations and internal processes.
• Monitor legal and compliance risks and resolve escalated transactional issues.
• Maintain community profile and initiate quality credit applications.
• Collaborate with product specialists across the FirstRand Group.
• Lead projects following expert‑level project‑management guidelines.
• Apply consulting and coaching expertise, manage KYC, expired limits and data management tasks.

Required profile

• Relevant degree.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the SME market in Kumasi.
• Adaptable, curious and able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
