Business Development Associate

About the role

The Business Development Associate will support Foundervine’s commercial growth by researching prospects, maintaining the sales pipeline, and assisting with proposals and tenders. You will work closely with the Business Development Manager and Head of Business Development in a hybrid workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential clients across corporate, public sector, NGO and development agency ecosystems.
• Maintain prospect lists, CRM records and track leads through the sales funnel.
• Support preparation of proposals, pitch decks and tender submissions.
• Conduct market and competitor research to provide insights for business development strategy.
• Assist with outreach, meeting scheduling and follow‑up communications with partners and clients.
• Collaborate with programme, marketing and operations teams to gather information for proposals and ensure smooth handover of projects.

Required profile

• 1–3 years experience in business development, partnerships, sales support or research.
• Strong research, analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, curious and eager to learn about business development and partnerships.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems.
• Familiarity with digital collaboration tools.
