Captain – Embraer 145/190 (Full‑time, Accra)

About the role

The Captain for Embraer 145 and Embraer 190 aircraft will command scheduled and charter flights for Africa World Airlines from Accra. This full‑time, on‑site position requires leading the flight crew and ensuring safe, efficient operations across West African routes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and brief flights, conduct pre‑flight inspections and verify aircraft readiness.
• Command the aircraft through all phases of flight, monitoring performance and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
• Communicate with air traffic control, ground operations and passengers, making timely in‑flight decisions.
• Lead and coordinate the flight crew, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and company policies.

Required profile

• Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with type ratings for Embraer 145 and/or Embraer 190.
• Current medical certificate and currency as required by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority.
• Extensive experience in commercial airline operations, preferably in West Africa.
• Strong knowledge of aviation safety, regulatory compliance and operational risk management.
• Willingness to work a roster‑based schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
