Chief Finance Officer (CFO)

About the role

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership for DBG, shaping financial strategy, ensuring sustainability, and supporting the bank’s development mandate. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO safeguards the organisation’s financial health and delivers critical insights for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with DBG’s long‑term sustainability and development goals.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and maintain robust internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with risk management to identify, assess and mitigate financial risks, integrating risk considerations into financial decisions.
• Maintain relationships with regulators, auditors, rating agencies, financial partners and development institutions, representing the bank in financial matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar role within Development Finance or Financial Services.
• At least 8 years of executive‑level experience.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, control and risk management.
