Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide overall financial leadership, operational discipline, profitability, governance and strategic growth for Daily Food Ghana Limited. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO acts as a business partner to ensure world‑class financial controls while supporting the transformation into a leading bakery and FMCG manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance operations, produce accurate financial statements, manage P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, and ensure month‑end close within five working days.
• Oversee daily cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital optimisation, banking relationships, foreign‑exchange, letters of credit, supplier payments, customer collections and debt management.
• Drive cost control and profitability through product costing, standard costing, variance analysis, labour productivity, overhead, utility, distribution, warehouse and transport cost optimisation.
• Partner with production to monitor yield, waste, scrap, efficiency, OEE, downtime, labour efficiency and packaging losses, delivering daily factory financial dashboards.
• Ensure inventory accuracy above 99% by managing stock reconciliation, cycle counting, batch control, expiry management and dead‑stock reduction.
• Lead Sage ERP implementation and digital transformation, creating automated dashboards, real‑time reporting, Power BI reports, mobile KPI reporting, AI tools and financial automation.
• Implement strong internal controls, approval matrices, delegation of authority, procurement controls, expense policies, fraud prevention, internal audits and compliance.
• Collaborate with procurement to control purchase prices, supplier performance, payment terms, import costs, freight optimisation and customs procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to act as the CEO’s business partner and provide strategic financial guidance.
• Proven experience leading cross‑functional finance, accounting, procurement and treasury teams.
• Demonstrated track record of maintaining high accuracy in financial reporting and controls.
