Chief Supply Chain Officer (Full Time)

About the role

The Chief Supply Chain Officer will lead Jumia Ghana’s end‑to‑end supply chain, shaping strategy and operational execution to support rapid growth. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for building a high‑performing team and ensuring seamless fulfillment across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and standardise best‑in‑class fulfillment and supply‑chain workflows nationwide.
• Recruit, train and scale fulfillment and logistics teams to meet business expansion goals.
• Oversee local fleet operations and third‑party logistics (3PL) partners, negotiating contracts to optimise costs.
• Track daily, weekly and monthly operational KPIs, owning business outcomes and performance reporting.
• Ensure smooth order fulfillment while managing operational emergencies with agility.
• Prepare executive reports on metrics, targets and variances for senior management.
• Manage departmental budgets and execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial processes accurately.
• Drive continuous improvement of internal workflows and foster a culture of employee growth.
• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery for new operational initiatives and strategic assignments.

Required profile

• Proven strategic leader with entrepreneurial drive and strong independent follow‑through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable leading in culturally diverse environments.
• Demonstrated ability in crisis management, cross‑functional coordination and high‑stakes vendor negotiations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Economics, Engineering or related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
