Credit Recoveries Manager

About the role

The Credit Recoveries Manager will lead the Credit Recovery Unit of Sekyere Rural Bank, overseeing all activities aimed at recovering outstanding loans and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Credit Recovery Unit, ensuring effective supervision of all recovery activities.
• Develop a comprehensive recovery plan and strategies for approval by senior management.
• Recommend and develop programmes for recovery staff and coordinate with the Credit and Micro‑finance Departments.
• Collaborate with branch managers on all recovery issues and maintain accurate records of recoveries, legal documents, and court filings.
• Liaise with the bank’s lawyer on credit matters and court cases.
• Handle credit referencing processes and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual recovery reports.

Required profile

• Degree holder in Accounting, Statistics, Banking & Finance or ACCA II / ACIB qualification.
• Minimum five years of experience in a financial institution.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Lenders and Borrowers Act and the Credit Reporting Act, 2007 (Act 726).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently and as a team player.
