Cyber Security Consultant / Instructor (Seasonal Pilot)

About the role

Safeway Security Guards (SSG) Ltd, a security services provider, is looking for a Team Leader / Cybersecurity and Capacity-Building Expert to lead a high-impact pilot project. The role starts as a seasonal engagement with strong potential to become permanent, depending on performance and program expansion. You will assess clients' digital security postures, identify vulnerabilities and design practical controls, while blending technical cyber expertise with behavioural science to help SMEs, private-sector organisations and institutional hubs adopt safer digital practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coordinate a specialised team, keeping performance and communication high across project milestones.
• Carry out cybersecurity and data protection needs assessments, stakeholder consultations and vulnerability reviews for SMEs and private-sector clients.
• Turn assessment findings into actionable recommendations and use behavioural approaches to promote sustained adoption of secure digital habits.
• Design, develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, coaching programmes and advisory tools for internal staff and external clients.
• Build stakeholder trust by drawing on knowledge of Ghana's SME, cybersecurity and data protection landscape.
• Track behavioural adoption metrics, evaluate intervention impact and document lessons learned to refine the pilot.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, tools and regulatory standards to update advisory methods.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Technology, Information Systems, Project Management or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
• At least 10 years of general professional experience.
• At least 3-5 years of specialised experience in cybersecurity, digital safety, ICT, capacity building or SME/private-sector support.
• At least 5 years of dedicated team leadership or management experience.
• Proven hands-on expertise in cybersecurity and data protection frameworks for SMEs and business hubs.
• Proven experience applying behavioural science or change-management approaches to foster lasting digital safety habits.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Ghana's SME and cybersecurity ecosystem; experience in the Volta Region is a strong advantage.
• Strong track record in curriculum development, workshop facilitation and capacity building, with monitoring and reporting.
