Cybersecurity Team Leader & Capacity-Building Expert

About the role

Safeway Security Guards (SSG) Ltd, a security services provider, is looking for a Team Leader / Cybersecurity and Capacity-Building Expert to lead a high-impact pilot project. The role starts as a seasonal engagement with strong potential to become permanent, depending on performance and program expansion. It sits in the La-Dade-Kotopon Municipal District, with travel to or experience in the Volta Region preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coordinate a specialized team, keeping performance and communication high across project milestones.
• Carry out cybersecurity and data protection needs assessments, stakeholder consultations and vulnerability reviews for SMEs and private-sector clients.
• Turn assessment findings into actionable recommendations and use behavioural approaches to promote lasting adoption of secure digital habits.
• Design, develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, coaching programmes and advisory tools for internal staff and external clients.
• Build stakeholder trust by drawing on knowledge of Ghana's SME, cybersecurity and data protection landscape.
• Track behavioural adoption metrics, evaluate intervention impact, document lessons learned and stay up to date with emerging threats and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Technology, Information Systems, Project Management or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
• At least 10 years of general professional experience, including 3-5 years in cybersecurity, digital safety, ICT, capacity building or SME/private-sector support.
• At least 5 years of dedicated team leadership or management experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Ghana's SME and cybersecurity ecosystem; Volta Region experience is a strong advantage.

• Behavioural science or change-management approaches to foster lasting digital safety habits.
• Curriculum development, workshop facilitation and institutional capacity building, with monitoring and reporting.
