Director, Head of Marketing – Ghana

About the role

Visa is seeking a senior marketing leader to shape and execute its marketing strategy across Ghana. Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Sub‑Saharan Africa, you will drive initiatives that increase transaction volume, market share and merchant acceptance in both physical and digital environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Ghana‑specific marketing strategies aligned with regional business goals.
• Oversee local Visa marketing teams and agency partners to maximize revenue, payment volume and PCE penetration.
• Lead key initiatives such as premium platform promotion, cross‑border transaction growth, and sponsorship programs.
• Manage country‑level marketing investments, assess business cases and prioritize projects against KPIs including MROI.
• Collaborate with issuers, merchants, sales, product, acceptance and global marketing teams to deliver value‑added services.
• Ensure creative content and cost‑synergy delivery while measuring results against established metrics.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in marketing, preferably within payments or financial services.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of driving revenue and market‑share growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
