Director / Senior Manager – Food & Agribusiness Consulting

About the role

Farrelly Mitchell is looking for a high‑calibre Director or Senior Manager to lead its Food & Agribusiness consulting practice in either Accra or Nairobi. The role combines market‑facing leadership, business development and client delivery across West and East Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior representative for the firm in the assigned region, strengthening brand presence and building relationships with governments, investors, agribusinesses and development partners.
• Develop and execute the Africa growth strategy, identifying and prioritising new market opportunities.
• Originate, develop and convert high‑value consulting opportunities, maintaining a robust pipeline of work across the agri‑food and investment landscape.
• Lead complex, multi‑market consulting engagements, ensuring strategic, actionable and commercially grounded outputs while managing timelines, quality and financial performance.
• Negotiate proposals, tenders and commercial contracts, driving revenue and performance targets.

Required profile

• Current senior‑manager or director‑level experience in a top‑tier consulting firm (Big 4 or equivalent).
• Proven track record of market development, client leadership and revenue generation in the agribusiness or food systems sector.
• Strong network across government, investors and agribusiness stakeholders in Africa.
• Ability to work autonomously, lead teams and shape regional strategy.
