About the role

The E-commerce Website Associate supports the mission of Loozeele Initiative by managing and optimizing its online sales platform, which showcases handmade products made by young Kayayei women through vocational training in basketry, fabric weaving, baking and shea butter making. The role delivers a seamless, engaging and scalable digital shopping experience, works with training, education and marketing teams, and suits a motivated professional with 0-2 years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the e-commerce website, including content updates, product listings and technical maintenance.
• Ensure accurate, compelling product descriptions, high-quality imagery and consistent categorization that highlight craftsmanship and storytelling.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on digital campaigns, promotions and seasonal offers to increase traffic and sales.
• Monitor website performance with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Shopify Analytics, tracking user behaviour, conversion rates and traffic sources.
• Generate regular reports on key e-commerce metrics and share insights for strategic improvement.
• Work with vocational training and school program teams so products and initiatives are represented authentically.
• Identify and implement small-scale optimizations to improve user experience, loading speed and mobile responsiveness.
