Education Specialist – TVET Systems Strengthening (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

This supervisory position with UNICEF Ghana focuses on strengthening technical and vocational education and training (TVET) systems to promote equitable and inclusive education. Based in Accra, the specialist will work closely with government ministries, development partners and the private sector to improve skills development opportunities for young people, especially young women.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coordination with development partners on TVET initiatives.
• Drive private‑sector engagement to support skills‑building programmes.
• Provide technical support for systems strengthening with the Ghana TVET Service, the Commission for TVET and relevant ministries.
• Support programme development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Ensure education programmes address the needs of marginalized and disadvantaged children.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in TVET and skills development.
• Passion for education equity and systems strengthening.
• Leadership and teamwork abilities to guide partners and contribute to a mission‑driven team.
• Experience working with government ministries and development partners.
• Ability to operate under the guidance of the Chief, Education (Level 4).
