Electrical Technician – Process Plant

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti Ghana is redeveloping the Obuasi Gold Mine and seeks an experienced Electrical Technician for the Process Plant. You will work on both refurbishment and routine maintenance of plant electrical systems, covering day and night shifts in a safe, compliant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute electrical refurbishment and maintenance tasks in line with Ghanaian regulations and AGAG standards.
• Perform daily pre‑start checks of equipment and tools, reporting any anomalies.
• Coordinate with contractors and construction teams for planned electrical work.
• Provide data to the Maintenance Planner and close work orders in SAP.
• Ensure compliance with government, environmental, health and safety legislation.

Required profile

• Secondary education with a certified electrical trade apprenticeship (e.g., City & Guilds).
• Minimum five (5) years post‑apprenticeship experience in an electrical trade.
• Familiarity with Ghana Minerals Commission and AGAG regulations.
• Ability to work safely on‑site, both day and night shifts.
