Employee Relations Manager

About the role

The Employee Relations Manager will lead all employee‑relations activities for Keda Ghana Ceramics Company Limited, a leading ceramics manufacturer in Ghana and West Africa. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape policies, manage union negotiations and ensure a harmonious workplace that supports the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies focused on employee relations and improving working conditions.
• Lead trade‑union negotiations, address grievances and mediate disputes to maintain industrial harmony.
• Assess employee feedback, reduce turnover and drive initiatives that boost satisfaction and retention.
• Prepare detailed turnover reports and propose actionable solutions.
• Establish clear communication frameworks between staff and management to foster transparency.
• Analyze trends in employee feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with Ghanaian labour laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks.
• Build strong relationships with employees and management, resolving conflicts and enhancing workplace harmony.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR managerial role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proven expertise in employee relations, union negotiations and labour dispute resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workforce dynamics and drive retention strategies.
