Energy Lead – Site Energy Management

About the role

The Energy Lead is responsible for driving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse‑gas emissions at a manufacturing site. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the role works closely with plant, maintenance, process and production teams as well as external suppliers and regulators to implement the company’s energy strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a multi‑year energy and GHG‑reduction roadmap aligned with corporate 2030 targets and the Science‑Based Targets initiative.
• Continuously monitor site energy consumption through the Energy Management System, analyse trends and provide actionable insights.
• Identify and prioritize energy‑saving opportunities, lead projects to upgrade equipment, optimise processes and integrate low‑carbon technologies.
• Implement global energy standards on site and ensure compliance with ISO 50001 and local energy regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners such as energy consultants, contractors and auditors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site‑level energy management or industrial energy efficiency.
• Strong understanding of GHG accounting and renewable‑energy integration.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate technical findings to non‑technical teams.

Required skills

• Energy Management System (EMS) operation and data analysis.
• ISO 50001 energy‑management standards.
• Science‑Based Targets initiative (SBTi) methodology.
