Energy Lead – Site Energy Manager

About the role

The Energy Lead is responsible for driving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse‑gas emissions at the site level. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the role works closely with plant, maintenance, process and production teams as well as external partners to implement the company’s sustainability strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a multi‑year roadmap to achieve the site’s 2030 energy intensity and GHG reduction targets, aligned with corporate Science‑Based Targets.
• Continuously monitor site energy consumption through the Energy Management System (EMS) and analyse data to identify trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
• Assess assets, processes and systems to pinpoint energy‑saving projects, and lead their implementation in collaboration with maintenance and process teams.
• Apply global energy standards and ensure compliance with ISO 50001 and local energy regulations.
• Report findings, progress and KPI results to internal stakeholders and support decision‑making for low‑carbon technology adoption.

Required profile

• Proven experience in energy management or related engineering functions within an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 50001 energy management standards and Science‑Based Targets initiatives.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Energy Management System (EMS) operation and data analysis.
• Knowledge of ISO 50001 compliance requirements.
• Understanding of GHG accounting and Science‑Based Targets methodology.
